Paper Recycling

The Paper Recycling Scheme in school consists of a band of willing and dedicated volunteers who empty the copious number of green boxes positioned in strategic locations throughout the school, there is one in nearly every classroom.

Composting

There are compost bins in the dining room where people can put their biodegradable rubbish, such as fruit peelings and napkins. These will be emptied on a regular basis and their contents moved to the compost heap in the gardens which provides a habitat for many creatures such as hedgehogs and mice.

Envelope Recycling

There are two envelope recycling points throughout the school, one outside the staff room and one in Tregelles. These are emptied weekly. We would be very grateful if people could put their envelopes in one of these boxes rather than the paper boxes as envelopes have to be recycled separately.

Phones 4 Schools

Please bring any old phones that you have, working or otherwise, to Sophie Reed's or Rachael West's Study. For every phone that you bring in you will receive a number of points and then you can swap these points for prizes, the more points you have the better the prize. The school also receives money for every phone you bring in.
For more information visit the Phones 4 Schools Website.

Make A Difference

Join MAD and Make A Difference.
THe MAD group meets on a Monday evening and undertakes a number of projects, from calculating and finding ways to reduce the school's carbon footprint, to decorating recycled folders. We also work in conjunction with the conservation group to help maintain the school nature areas and create more wildlife habitats.
