Join Mount - E Become your form's representative and bring their views to the regular meetings held over lunch time once per half term. Mount - e is the forefront of eco-initiatives within the school, here views are discussed and action plans formulated. Join MAD Join MAD and Make A Difference. THe MAD group meets on a Monday evening and undertakes a number of projects, from calculating and finding ways to reduce the school's carbon footprint, to decorating recycled folders. We also work in conjunction with the conservation group to help maintain the school nature areas and create more wildlife habitats Join The Conservation Club The Conservation group works mainly outside to construct and maintain the conservation gardens around the school and create new habitats to encourage new species of wildlife to the school area. Make Simple Changes Turn the lights of as you leave a room. Wear an extra layer and turn the heating down two degrees. Put all paper and card waste into the recycling bins. Compost food waste at lunch and choc lunch. Take Public Transport when possible, its cheaper than the petrol. Only take as much food as you can eat at lunch times. |
